緩和医療研究会　創立趣意書

 

　周知のごとく，英国および北米においては，がんの末期医療は，従来の延命を第一とする医療から，患者の苦痛を除去し，残された日々を有意義におくることを援助する緩和療法（Palliative Medicine）に移りつつあります。そして，日本においても，延命ばかりでなくQOLをも重視した末期医療をめざす機運が高まりつつあります。
　そこで，私たちも医師の側からこの状況に対応し，痛みのコントロールをはじめ末期患者の苦痛を緩和し，QOLをより高めるための研究を目的とする「緩和医療研究会」——末期（がん）の症状コントロールを考える医師の会——を設立しました。
　そして，以下の事業を実施する予定です。
１．がんや不治の病の症状の緩和（痛みや苦しみをとる）療法を研究し，その普及に努める。
２．情報紙を発行し，海外と国内の文献や活動を，医師を対象として紹介する。
３．緩和医療を容易にするために，現在の薬剤のあり方（剤型など）について提言をする。
４．緩和医療の普及を促すため，医療制度の改善を提言する。
　以上の趣旨をご理解くださいまして，みなさまのご協力をお願いいたします。

緩和医療研究会 会則

 

＊平成23（2011）年3月５日の第19回総会において、「本会の活動対象疾患をがん以外に拡げるとともに，会員を医師以外にも拡げる」方針が承認され，平成24（2012）年2月11日の第20回総会にて会則の条文を一部変更しました。

 

第１条　本会は緩和医療研究会と称する。
第２条　本会は次の目的を持つ。
　死の臨床において患者や家族に対する症状のコントロールを全人的立場により研究する。
第３条　本会は次の事業を行う。
　１．年２度の研究集会を開催する。
　２．各地の研究グループと交流をめざす。
　３．その他本会の目的に沿った事業を行う。
第４条
　１．本会は死の臨床にかかわりを持ち，本会の目的に賛同し，世話人会が承認した医療関係者，および賛助会員をもって構成する。
　２．賛助会員は議決権を保有しない。
第５条　本会は世話人会および事務局を持つ。
　１．世話人は若干名で，そのうち10名程度の常任世話人が日常の運営にあたり，１名を代表，１名を会計監査とし，任期は２年とする。ただし，再選を妨げない。
　２．事務局は，岡山市南区並木町２丁目27-５におく。
第６条　本会は年１回総会を開催し，次の事項を協議する。
　１．庶務，会計，事業報告
　２．事業計画
　３．世話人の選出
　４．その他，世話人会が必要と認めた事項
第７条
　１．本会は主に会員の会費によって運営する。
　２．会費は年額5,000円（賛助会員は１口20,000円）とし，新年度の2月末日までに事務局宛に送金する。
　３．本会の会計年度は，１月１日に始まり，その年の12月31日に終わる。
第８条　本会の会則の変更は総会の承認を得ることを必要とする。

PROSPECTUS OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR PALLIATIVE MEDICINE

Terminal care for cancer patients in other developed countries is shifting from the long, sustained preservation of life by extraordinary medical means to palliative medicine for symptom control to achieve the best quality of life for patients and their families. In Japan, too, the time has come to provide terminal care, focused not only on life-sustaining procedures but also on the quality of life.
Under these circumstances, we, concerned medical doctors, have founded the Association for Palliative Medicine to share our experience and knowledge of pain relief and symptom control for the terminally ill in order to achieve the best quality of life for them.
The Association will:
1. Conduct research into and promote the use of palliative treatment for symptom control of the terminally ill (cancer and other incurable diseases)
2. Publish such materials as bulletins to introduce to doctors literature on and activities involving palliative medicine around the world
3. Offer suggestions on the current availability of medicines (their types and other details) to facilitate palliative treatment
4. Make proposals on improvement of the medical-care system to promote palliative medicine.

Promoters of the Association for Palliative Medicine

Articles of the Association for Palliative Medicine

Article 1
The Association shall be named the Association for Palliative Medicinel.
Article 2
The main objective of the Association shall be to study ways of symptom control for the terminally ill and their family from the standpoint of total care on dying and death.
Article 3
The Association shall engage in the following activities:
1. Study meetings held twice a year
2. Information exchange with other study groups around the world
3. Other projects designed in line with the objectives of the Association.
Article 4
1. The Association shall consist of doctors and comedical,s and supporting members who are in agreement with the objectives of the Association and whose membership has been approved by the promoters of the Association.
2. The supporting members shall not be vested with voting rights.
Article 5
The Association shall have a group of promoters and an administration office.
1. Within the group of promoters, about 10 shall be elected as standing promoters entrusted with the day-to-day operations of the Association. The standing promoters shall elect a Representative and an Auditor to terms of two years, which shall be renewable.
2. The administration office shall be located at 27-5 Namiki-cho 2, Minami-ku, Okayama-shi, 702-8058, Japan.
Article 6
The Association shall hold an annual General Meeting for deliberation on the following matters:
1. General affairs, accounting, project reports
2. Project plans
3. Election of standing promoters
4. Any other matter that the group of promoters deems important.
Article 7
1. The Association shall be funded using mainly membership fees.
2. The membership fee shall be ¥5,000 annually for doctors and ¥20,000 for supporting members. The fees shall be remitted to the administration office by the end of February each new year.
3. The Associationﾕs business year shall run from the January 1 to December 31 of the same year.
Article 8
Amendments of the Articles of the Association shall need the approval of the General Meeting.
